THE WEST AFRICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP ASSOCIATION (WAYLA) is a dynamic, resourceful, non-governmental organization whose major aim is to build the leadership potentials in the youth of the West African sub-region. The fundamental challenges faced by youths are that of Empowerment, Capacity Building and Socio Economic Development. These challenges have received scant attention on many fronts, including the West African Sub-Regional Bodies. Unlike Health and Gender issues which are receiving increasing attention, the issues of Empowerment, Capacity Building and Citizenship Education for Young people appear to be permanently on the backburner, hence WAYLA is earmarked to handles those challenges in the West African sub-Region.
We believe that the youth are leaders in making, and if their energies are channeled in the right direction, they can change the fortune of the sub-region.

- prof.C.I. Ohiku is an Educationist and a philanthropist, who for over two decades now has been committed to improving the life of the less previllage. As an Educationist he has invested much in making available quality resource materials for the upgrading of the mental world of potential achievers. These materials are accessible in Christian Research Institute of Nigeria. He is the president of WAYLA, the provost of WACCM/WACU,the President of Voice of Watchman Ministries, and the Proprietor of the The Voice International School. He is married and blessed with lovely children
